Professional Business Card 5

We’re going to create a simple blue business card! You can also use this for a lot of other things… In this example I’ll use it to promote adword vouchers.

1. Create a new document (500*250).

2. Fill the background with white #ffffff.

3. Now make a selection using your rectangular marquee tool like shown below and fill the selected rectangle with #0072bc or another color using your paint bucket tool.

4. We’re going to adjust the blending options of this layer so go to (layer – layer style – blending options) and adjust the settings fo the following effects.

5. Now just add some demo text (font used in this example was garamond premier pro with different sizes)…

6. Select all the layers and go to (edit – free transform) and rotate it! That’s it, you can see the outcome in the picture below this sixth step. You’ve created a clean business card! You can also use this as an ad or place a logo on top of it and display it on some official papers.

I have created business cards before.
However, I am a firm believer that we can always learn new things from others, even if they are simple tips and shortcuts.

Any new info that helps you maintain quality in your work, but cut down on work time, is always a plus!

This tutorial was well put together and will make it a breeze for anyone seeking to create a business card.

    Thanks for the tutorial submission!:-)

Wow, thank you Janice, that was a great comment… This is a simple tutorial so it’s not at all really ‘pro’, but I’m glad you think others can learn the basics using this tutorial!

    Kindest regards.
